The Future Sounds Good

Montgomery Arts Academy Believes in the Benefits of Music

Mind
The mind becomes sharpened through music study, practice, and performance. Learning about music requires concentration and focus. When children are asked to analyze, compare and contrast sounds, they are actively engaged in problem-solving experiences. While experiencing music, children are developing fun mental discipline through mental exercises that are different from classroom activities, academic studies, and even video games. Research has proven that studying music will allow the individual to gain mental acuity, a clear and brilliant mind to create.

Body
The body develops physical discipline through music study. Learning to play an instrument enhances fine motor co-ordination. There are health benefits for singing. There is a direct relation to the immune system, breathing, adopting good posture, improved mood, and stress reduction.

Spirit

Creating music cultivates the individual’s inner being. Music initiates self-expressions. Through the arts, the following tendencies are reduced:

Behavior Issues, Depression, Suicide
Crime, Violence

"I am amazed how music impacts the human being through mind, body, and spirit.  Music has been my first love every since I was a young girl.  I began my career as a music entrepreneur in 1997 and I am thrilled to continue to serve as Montgomery's preferred piano and voice teacher.  My professional training came from the most notable colleges and universities - Huntingdon College, Auburn University, Jacksonville State University, Liberty University, and Northcentral University.  I am not only an educator of music and a church musician veteran, but I have a passion for instructional leadership and curriculum development.  These skills have advanced me to be an executive business coach, organizational development practitioner, and and speaker that help corporations, nonprofit organizations, and women to transition from their compartmentalized corporate jobs to full time entrepreneurs, better known as 'PassionPreneurs'".

We’d love to hear from you!
